BIOGRAFIA

Giovanni Brancati (alias) Vanterrania, born in Scicli (RG), on 10/14/1975, lived in the Catania area, began his artistic career as a guitarist at the end of the 80s, collaborating with various rock bands in the area, engaging in concerts which served as a springboard towards the search for new sounds, thus starting a path of experimentation based on the use of sequencers, synths and guitars.

The desire to create and experiment with new sounds gave rise to various compositions, making new wave electronic sounds prevail above all, resulting in the production of soundtracks.

The influence of the multiple musical styles in varying degrees, i.e. Indie, punk, rock, alternative, industrial, ambient and electronic with which he has always dealt, have pushed him to seek an electronic and original approach.

Giovanni Brancati loves to think that music is every form of sound and that by making constant use of electronic instruments and sounds and combining them in a varied and original approach it becomes art.

In fact, the term experimental music is used to describe musical forms that tend to the limits of a defined genre whose approach is determined by hybridizations of styles incorporated into new and distinctly unique elements controlled by electronics.

By mixing recognizable sounds, but from different origins, he manages to make music that is out of the ordinary and certainly not commercial but with a very specific style that is gaining more and more appreciation in the sector.

Under the pseudonym Vanterrania, which pushes thought to the land in which he was born and raised, he moves around an artistic path which, thanks to technology, is trying to carry out a very precise and targeted project to broaden knowledge in a certainly difficult sector but which gives so much satisfaction, and for this reason experimentation cannot stop and pushes us to search for new ways of both analogue and digital composition, increasingly aspiring to achieve the desired sound.
